Lineman hit by 7,200 volts of electricity is rebuilding his life
Doctors and nurses crowded around Shawn Spiwak’s hospital bed, grim-faced. The Kansas City Power & Light Co. lineman was severely, perhaps mortally, burned. They told his wife not to hope. But as medical team members sliced away charred tissue, piece by piece, they had yet to discover that Spiwak’s willpower was stronger than the 7,200 volts that felled him.
